Elegantly mounted banded kingfisher. The plumage of this male shows a beautiful deep blue colour with the distinctive black stripes that earned this species its nickname of zebra kingfisher.

Origin: Southeast Asia
Fun fact: its remarkable call is a long whistled 'wheeeoo' followed by 15 times 'chiwiu' in 17 seconds.
