On Saturday, June 14th, De Museumwinkel.com in Nijmegen will celebrate its 15th anniversary! A milestone we are incredibly proud of. To mark this special occasion, we are hosting a festive open day with taxidermy demonstrations, an insect tasting, and special discounts. Visitors are warmly welcome between 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM.

From 11:00 AM to 2:30 PM, you can watch our award-winning taxidermists at work. Ever wondered how a bird is mounted? Our professionals will demonstrate the process live in our shop – a unique behind-the-scenes experience!
You can also take part in a special insect tasting. In addition to our wide range of framed insects, you'll have the chance to taste them too!
Over the past 15 years, De Museumwinkel.com has had the honor of preparing extraordinary animals for private individuals, artists, nature foundations, and museums worldwide. From otters, wolves, beavers, and a European sea eagle to exotic animals such as a wombat, a koala, and even a kakapo.
During this time, De Museumwinkel.com has also preserved around 4,500 pets. Each animal is handled with the utmost care and attention, providing owners with a lasting memory of their beloved companions.
Over the past 15 years, our taxidermists have won multiple Dutch and European championships. They have delivered impressive performances and received many titles and awards – something we are extremely proud of as a team.
De Museumwinkel.com is the largest taxidermy and natural history shop in the Netherlands. The shop offers a unique collection of mounted animals, including an exclusive mounted tiger, many exotic butterflies, insects, skeletons, and other wonders of nature. Be sure to also visit our permanent exhibition featuring a unique private collection. Here you can see a real shrunken head and a nearly extinct kakapo. Admission to the exhibition is free.
